Turbo Racing
1:76 Turbo Racing RC |
An extremely small precision micro RC.
This is the second generation of this micro RC car. We get a classic RX7 like body and a slightly larger chassis than the previous model. So what’s all the hype about? The fact that this company managed to redefine micro scale racing by creating a 1:76 RC with digital proportional functionality. Yes, fully digital proportional! The wow factor is the size and functionality. It’s an amazingly cool product.
Turbo Racing Set |
Okay, while this RC may have bragging rights for its micro accomplishments, it’s late to the micro RC party! The boom has ended quite some years ago. It’s been a trying comeback for the genre. Very few have had a successful run. Drift package nano had a 5 year run and boasted only proportional throttle. But officially licensed branding gave them higher value and saw sale prices triple after discontinuation. Turbo Racing is no Dnano slayer! Even though Dnano manufacturing has also come to an end, try to buy a running chassis set online. Collectors are rarely putting them up for sale and are very expensive. Good luck if you get one!
Micro Racing car |
Turbo Racing bodies aren’t licensed that’s what kept them from starting another micro RC craze in my opinion. Licensed RC cars are more desirable for collectors and true hobbyist. It would have cost the company a bit more to produce, and yes, cost the consumer. But the collectibility would’ve been great.
Pros: Cute, fun and cool. Good features, controllable LED chassis and headlights. Compact transmitter and fully digital proportional functionality.
Cons: It lacks high speed, cornering is a bit jittery, no optional mods such as wheels and tires. Also limited body styles from manufacturers.
Well, should you get one? You decided!
